Just so ya know, child support is not always based on each parents income. The only time that happens is when the two parents cannot agree on an amount acceptable to the courts. If you are divorcing you really should find an amount that is agreeable to both parties and have it written into the divorce decree that way it does not change and the state does not have any control over how much is paid only to make sure it is paid on time every month
